Every Conference has a Texas.

Texas was the primary reason the Big XII nearly collapsed.   The Texas Longhorns would not share the TV revenues or show content on the Longhorn network of other Big XII schools.  It was simply an act of greed, ignoring the rule that 'a rising tide raises all boats', in favor of 'we have to Get Ours'.   The Longhorns (J.R. Ewing of the Southeastern Conference and the Big XII) exited the Big XII for greener pastures and a larger conference with bigger Revenues.

The Big Ten has long shown unity within its conference that has been the envy of most conferences.   However, there is a crack in the ship. This is how the pyramids start to crumble.   Best of luck to the Big Ten.                                         Enjoy it while it lasts, Big Ten Fans
