This is what pisses me off about the Cyclone Game Saturday.
1. It wasn't the Refs! By the looks of the box score you would almost think that it was a close game. At halftime the Cyclones led in every offensive category. The penalties at halftime were OSU: 0 and ISU: 8 - 58. Looks like the refs had a discussion at halftime and decided to try and even the penalties after they let a play go too far that knocked out our starting quarterback Sam Richardson.
I've been to many games over the past twenty years and this is the first game where I heard the crowd clearly go after the refs. So much so that after Richardson went down, OSU was called for two ticky tack fouls within the first two minutes of the second-half to try and make themselves look impartial.
2. No it wasn't the kicking game that seems to haunt the Cyclones this time of year every year. Particularly when they are playing out doors (which is every stadium in the Big XII), and when windy (also every stadium in the Big XII).

3. It is the fact that we think we can spot every other team 21 points before we decide to play. It makes it awfully difficult to win a game when you are playing from behind 21-0 after the first quarter. The Cyclones have only scored more than 21 points twice this year. 30 against Texas and 35 against Texas Tech, both were losses. So as much as the other points bothered me. Our run defense is as porous as a teenagers forehead. Which is the kiss of any teenagers chance to score.
